My Christmas Wishlist!

My Christmas Wishlist!
This set is for the Polyvore Contest featuring Holiday Wishlists! There are only a few things I'd love to have this Christmas season, and here they are!

The first item I selected is the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume. I've loved it since the ad campaign with Keira Knightley first began. It's a sultry scent, with heady notes that I keep coming back to.

The second item I selected was a black blazer. The menswear trend is always something I've wanted to try, and a simple black blazer will allow me to try out this trend!

My third selected item is a year's subscription to Glamour Magazine. I read SO MANY magazines each month, but Glamour is one of the few I haven't had the chance to purchase a subscription for yet. I love their focus on woman's issues and current events.

The fourth item I picked is purely based in the spirit of giving and philanthropy. The Lunchbox Fund is a charity that is near to my heart, with its main goal to provide lunches for underprivileged school children in South Africa. I would love if money would be donated to the charity on my behalf.

My fifth item is a Starbucks gift card! If there is one place that provides me with creature comfort and tasty caffeine fixes, it's Starbucks.

And lastly, I chose a basic pair of black booties. I've yet to fully immerse myself in the commitment of wearing heels, and these booties are a chic and simple piece to incorporate into my wardrobe.

REBECCA MINKOFF RUNWAY DESIGN CHALLENGE.
I'll just start off and say yes, my design references are a little controversial. I feel that this look and mood-board best represents my ideal design/styling aesthetic, and channels a Jenny a la Gossip Girl look. It also represents an aesthetic that I think deserves exploration within the Minkoff brand. This is for the edgy, the hard rock, the bad ass, the life of the party, the intelligent girl who can read Nietzsche and guzzle Jack Daniels simultaneously.

What inspired your bag?
I drew inspiration from the 1920's, macabre literature, the Addams family, Alfred Hitchcock, the paranormal, religion, nature, spirituality and mysticism that was popular at the turn of the century.

What kind of girl would carry it?
Any girl with guts and a hard style edge. The diagonal zipper detail adds movement and flow to the piece, and the addition of the long shoulder strap adds wear-ability.
